Town and Mimarsinan Museum
Being put into service as a part of the Kadir Has Culture
Center complex, the Town and Mimarsinan Museum consists of
six floors.
There is an Information
Center located on the basement and on the first floor. All
the information about the city of Kayseri and Mimarsinan is
presented through digital screens, rough models, productions
and kiosks.
There is a café, a restaurant,
a sight-seeing terrace and the executive office in the Town
and Mimarsinan Museum built in the Fair area.
Fulfilling a demand in
the socio-cultural area, the institution also draws the attention
with its striking esthetical
construction.

The Fair of Specialisation
The Fair of Specialisation will be constructed according to
the project called “Build-Run-Hand Over” by the sponsorship
of Kayseri Chamber of Industry and Kayseri Chamber of Commerce.
The construction is going to have an area of 11.000 m². Any
kind of commercial, social and cultural activities will be realised
in the Fair.
The
foundation will be completed with a $4.5 billion-credit taken
by the World Trade Centre. The Fair of Specialisation will be
able to host a lot of National and International fairs then.

Ziya Gökalp Social Foundations
Having an indoor area of 2.500 m², Ziya Gökalp Hüsamettin Çetinbulut
Social Foundations, which were named after one
of the previous mayors, have been in service. The oundations
contain a refectory for the poor, a carpeted-football pitch,
a library, a table tennis saloon, changing rooms and showers.
Taking the interest of the local people, the foundations host
a lot of sports fans, especially the carpeted-football pitch
serves almost the whole day. Every day, the refectory provides
bread and meals for the 1 200 families who are in need of aid.
Being especially the favourite of the students, the library
is arranged for the bookworms.

Kayseri Houses
Targeting to restore a historical building every year in order
not to lose the cultural and historical frame in the city, the
Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is having 7 old Kayseri houses
in Setenönü restored.
Being the property of Erciyes University, these houses were
assigned for the use of the Metropolitan Municipality for twenty
years. In each of these houses, a different sort of socio-cultural
function will be performed.
Having
started the restoration works with an estimated cost of TL 1.500
trillion, the Kayseri houses are restored according to the traditions
of Kayseri architecture and they are furnished accordingly,
too.
Historical Kayseri houses, in which the traditional meals will
be served and Kayseri’s culture and the music will be performed,
are protected with their historical and cultural aspects. |

Ahi Evran Chapel (of Dervishes)
Based on the project “ Every year, one historical building should
be restored” in order to protect and to transfer the historical
buildings in Kayseri to the new generations, the Chapel of Ahi
Evran was restored.
The construction was furnished by the Kayseri Trades Union
and it was converted into a museum. The museum is unique in
Turkey and it is the first one in its category. The name of
the museum is called the Museum of Tradesmen and Craftsmen.

Relatives of Martyrs and
the House of Veterans
A two-floored old Kayseri House located in the Kiçikapı area,
which is expropriated by the Metropolitan Municipality, is being
restored. The building is going to be assigned to the relatives
of the martyrs and the veterans. This house is going to be furnished
so that the relatives of the martyrs, who have sacrificed themselves
for this country, and the heroic Veterans can come together
and seek solution to their problems.
Historical
Fountains
A lot of historical pulpits, minarets and fountains that could
easily be seen in Kayseri are restored. In this way they were
prevented from being destroyed.

Fish and Offal Sellers Center
Located on the basement and on the first floor of the Kiçikapı
Multi-stored Car Park, the center was built to provide the towns
people fish and offal sold in cleaner and more hygienic conditions.
Having
an area of 3. 200m², the site was constructed according to the
project called Build-Run-Hand Over by the sponsorship of fish
and offal sellers in return of a ten-year rental fund of the
building. In the site, there are cellars
belonging to each shop on the basement. The total number of
shops in the site is 27 and there is a market, too. |
