A New Vision for the Highway

With a treaty signed between General Management of Highways and the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality, the Municipality took over a 16 km-long part of the Highway in order to do the maintenance.
On the Highway, the necessary works –such as draining, paving, asphalt laying, illumination, planting and landscaping- have been successfully done.
Thus, the neglected areas that had an awful impression on Kayseri’s outlook have now provided the transit travelers pretty views. An investment of TL 6 trillion has been made for this purpose.

The Streets Have Been Rearranged

Being one of the oldest and the most crowded streets, Hastane Street, İstasyon Street and Salih Avgun Pasha Street connecting the formerly mentioned streets to each other are rearranged thoroughly. Following arrangements have been performed on these streets; paving, planting, illumination and asphalt laying. More over, a car park for1 100 cars has been built along the road on both sides.

Bağdat Street

Being one of the most important and crowded streets, Bağdat Street has been rearranged in order to provide an efficient traffic flow and to render a modern outlook. Paving, illumination, asphalt laying and planting have been performed on this 3 km-long road. More over, a free regional car park for 1 500 cars, in total, has been built. Built at the entrance of Ziya Gökalp Street, the bridge provides a safer and faster traffic flow. Since the main collector lines of wastewater- reaching the Cleansing Unit- pass underneath this road, the substructure of the road has been completed automatically.

Mustafa Şimşek Boulevard

The 2 km-long Mustafa Şimşek Boulevard has been rearranged with its substructure, pavements, asphalt laying and a Regional car park for 80 cars. Furthermore, Kaski has built water collecting canals and 40 grates on this road.

Tacettin Boulevard

The first stage arrangements of the Tacettin Boulevard –extending from the Kiçikapı Square reaching up the Kartal Boulevard -has been completed and it is in the service now.
The old hoses were knocked down after they had been expropriated. A 20m-wide road, which has become an important alternative, was built. Destruction is still going on in order to put the second stage into service. After knocking down 257 old houses, the width of the road will reach 40m.It will be a modern boulevard with pavements along both sides, illumination and green areas.

Kaldırım Street

Connecting Erkilet Street and Bağdat Street, Kaldırım Street, which is one of the most important and crowded streets, has been rearranged.

The six-lined road, which was narrow and disorderly built, has had a modern scenery with a width of 35 m.

The boulevard has been paved along both sides, illuminated and rendered green. In addition to these arrangements, Kaski has performed substructure works and put 11 grates.

 Kadir Has Street

The 1.5 km-long street has been rearranged. The sidewalks have been paved and asphalt has been laid on the road.

Sivas Street Has Been so Rearranged That
it Becomes its Reputation

Although being one of the most favourite and the busiest streets of Kayseri, Sivas Street, which used to have an awful landscape, has been rearranged. To prevent the disorderly parking, a Regional car park for 550 cars has been built. Furthermore, the 2.5 km-long part starting from the Kümbet (Tomb) area, has been converted into a four-lined road on each directions.
